الماضي المستمر (Past Continuous) هو ذلك الزمن الذي يجري استخدامه في اللغة الإنجليزية للحديث عن الأفعال والأحداث التي تواصل واستمر حدوثها في الزمن الماضي، وللماضي المستمر عدد من الدلائل، أو الكلمات المفتاحية، والتي تدل على هذا الزمن، وفي الجدول التالي استعراضٌ لأهمها،[١][٢] إلى جانب الأمثلة التوضيحية على كل واحدة:[٣][٤]
