كثيراً ما نستخدم في حديثنا صيغة المستقبل مثل " سوف أذهب إلى السوق" أو سنذهب في رحلة مدرسية الأسبوع المقبل" أو سأدرس بجدّ للامتحان القادم" وغالباً ما نستخدم الفعل المساعد will للتعبير عن ذلك في اللغة الإنجليزية، سنتعرف في هذا المقال على طريقة نفي صيغة المستقبل البسيط Future Simple المرتبطة ب will.
استخدام Will
تعد will من الأفعال المساعدة والتي نستخدمها لوصف أحداث أو أفعال مقترنة بزمن المستقبل future حيث تأتي بمعنى (سوف)، ويأتي بعدها الفعل بحالته المجردة infinitive

سوف أبذل قصارى جهدي للحصول على هذه الوظيفة
نلاحظ في الأمثلة السابقة أننا استخدمنا الفعل المساعد will للتحدث عن أفعال وأحداث ستحدث في المستقبل، وقد جاء الفعل الرئيسي بعد Will مجرداً (infinitive).
صيغة جملة Will المنفية
عند نفي will يتم إضافة not بعدها لتصبح will not وتعني (لن) في اللغة العربية،
تأتي will مع الفاعل في جميع حالاته (مفرد أو جمع) أي أن will تتبع جميع الضمائر المفردة والجمع (he, she, it, they, you, we, I)، حيث يكون الفعل بعد will دائماً مجرد.
